Making marijuana butter is easy. Make sure you have your medical recommendation and you have confirmed all health concerns with your doctor. Once this is done, you are ready to move ahead into your adventures with medical marijuana. Cooking is very rewarding and can have a grand impact on your health. Here is what you will need to make marijuana butter.
Marijuana Butter method one.
1 pound of unsalted organic butter
1 8 oz bottle of water (Reverse Osmosis)
1 oz marijuana buds
cheese cloth or fine mesh pantyhose
2 q.t. slow cooker with temperature control
If you are using a larger slow cooker than 2q.t. you will need more water. Turn on the slow cooker, preheat to low. Start by melting the butter in the bottom of the slow cooker. Once melted remove any white frothy butter from the top of the melted butter.
Grind marijuana buds until they are fine. Add ground marijuana buds. Stir with spoon. If the butter completely saturates the marijuana mixture you can leave the butter on low with the marijuana for up to two hours, watching carefully it doesn’t burn. At this point you could remove that butter (the texture will be much better). Then continue with the next step. If you don’t want to risk anything, add 8 oz of water now.
Leave butter, water, marijuana mixture on for 4-6 hours, stirring marijuana often (about every 20 minutes). Remove from heat and allow to cool 20 minutes. Strain marijuana from the butter/water mixture with cheese cloth or fine mesh pantyhose. Cool butter in the fridge until it separates from the water. Discard water and store butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to three weeks.
